As an amateur musician and composer I would love you to explore this portfolio of compositions and let me know what you think. All the audio files have been computer generated (using notion6 software by PreSonus) so apologies if the instrument quality is not quite like the real thing!
I have the scores for all the works featured in this portfolio and the portfolio will be updated as time progresses with revisions to existing works and the appearance of new compositions.

ABOUT JON
I have spent my working life as an academic and university professor and since retiring as a mathematician have decided to challenge myself in other ways. I have always been keen on classical music and studied the violin to grade 8 standard as a teenager. However since then other things (like work!) have got in the way and I am only now returning to music but as a composer rather than player. I'm not expecting great things to flow from these compositions but if others find them interesting then that is reward enough. My only ambition is perhaps one day to hear one of the pieces played live!
Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.
